Not wanting to be left in the dust behind other competitors' drive storage limits, Maxtor has announced a new line of drives, dubbed MaXLine, which will have storage capacities of up to 320GB. Pricing is expected to be in the $300 to $400 range and should be available by the end of the year. I just wonder how they expect ANYBODY to back up that much data?! DVD-R only holds 4.7GB currently and tape devices just plain suck IMHO. Hmm, need an array of these things one to mirror the other - just pray you don't get hit by lightning!
