Razer XP Drivers Are Now Available
- Posted 1:08 AM By Squirre1

Well, not to sound negative, it is about damn time... Thats right folks. The people at Razer finally have a XP driver for all of you people that have made lovely statues out of your mouse over the past couple of years. Here is the link and here is the information:
We put the whole thing in one zip file, drvr3001.zip. This will extract to a "cd" directory, which is the CDROM install dir. A subdir of that is "selfext" which has all the individual driver files (like razer_en.exe).

We also put the "razer_en.exe" English version out there too for those too impatient to download the whole thing. We know that it has been a long time coming and we thank our many stalwart fans for their patience and understanding. For more detailed information see our Drivers page.
Be sure if you do download the drivers, check out the drivers page. It does list some stipulations to the drivers that you might be interested in.

C&C Generals Patch v1.5

EMail News to a Friend  Printer Friendly Version    0 Comments | Add
Well, you have to admit, at least EA has constantly churned away at getting bugs removed, and on that note, they have released the v1.05 Patch. The 10MB patch includes the following updates/fixes:
Issues addressed:
1. STAT RECORDING INACCURACY: Made sure the online stats are tracked correctly. Initial disconnecting players will be tracked and wins/losses will be correctly tabulated. One note to remember: At the Disconnect Voting screen players MUST wait for the count down to finish. A player that exits this screen before the count down is done will receive a disconnect. Also, the voting button has been removed from any 2 player game Disconnect Screen.

2. US BARRACKS EXPLOIT: Lowered the number of Rangers that appear after a US Barracks is destroyed.

3. BUGGY MISSILE TRACKING AFTER UPGRADE: Made sure the missiles continue tracking targets after the player upgrades the Rocket Buggy.

4. RELOADING COMANCHES, ROCKET BUGGIES: Made sure the Rocket Buggy and the Comanches can reload reliably.

5. GLA FAST BUILD BUG: Fixed exploit that allowed multiple Workers to speed structure build times.

6. DOUBLE PLANE WEAPONS CAUSE INCORRECT DAMAGE (All planes): Made sure that targets take damage correctly when multiple ordinances hit a target simultaneously.

7. SOME USERS ARE SEEN IN THE WRONG GAME LOBBIES: Fixed this so that “phantom” users wouldn’t be seen in misc. lobbies.

8. GENERAL BALANCING ISSUES:

Bug fixed in MiG damage code where upgraded napalm did too much damage to targets.
GLA Bomb truck health up from 220 to 250.
Worker health up from 100 to 140.
Tunnel Network gun damage increased from 10 per shot to 15 per shot.
Overlord build time increased from 20 to 25 seconds.
Scorpion Tank now builds in 10 seconds instead of 14.
GLA Arms Dealer build up time decreased from 50 to 40 seconds (ini seconds, not game seconds.)
Tunnel Network Build Time improved from 20 seconds to 15 seconds (ini seconds, not game seconds.)
The target link above gives you access to multiple languages, if you'd rather just aim directly for the english patch, click here.

EA Announces BF1942 : Secret Weapons
- Posted 3:05 PM By Kagato
EMail News to a Friend  Printer Friendly Version    0 Comments | Add
Looks like the folks aren't wanting to slouch on their newest cash cow Battlefield 1942, as they've confirmed yet another expansion for the series, this one titled Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons. Word:
In Secret Weapons of WWII, players will engage in war with a choice of up to 46 vehicles to control. In addition to the 30 vehicles introduced in the original game such as fighter planes, tanks, and aircraft carriers, players can operate 16 new vehicles including the Horton HO 229 "Flying Wing" that is equipped with 30 mm machine guns and missiles. Other vehicles consist of a U.S. Sherman tank with a T-34 Calliope rocket launcher, U.S. T95/T28 Super Heavy Tank, the Sturmtiger (naval gun mounted on Tiger tank), U.S. Goblin jetfighter, C-47 cargo plane that will serve as a mobile spawn point, the American Armstrong Whitworth AW-52 advanced fighter, the German Wasserfall guided anti-air missile and the German Natter rocket plane. Also, for the first time, Secret Weapons of WWII will give players the chance to fly and fight at the same time with a top secret German prototype Rocket Pack.

There will be seven new weapons including one-shot kill knives. Other weapons include the Bren light machine gun, Remington Auto 5 shotgun and the Mauser K98 grenade rifle. Players can put these weapons to use in eight fresh World War II combat campaigns including Peenemuende, a V2 research facility, and The Eagle's Nest, Hitler's hideaway. All new battlefields offer unique settings ranging from nightfall during the summer in Prague to a winter battle in Norway.

In addition to offering innovative weapons and vehicles, the game introduces British Commando and German Elite troops while enriching gameplay by adding a new "objective based" gameplay mode. In this new mode, players will be tasked with a specific objective such as destroying a secret facility in order to win the battle.
More fraggin' fun for the entire family! Amazing to see a company come out with more "mods" for their own game sooner than the gaming community. There's also some preliminary screenshots posted over at ToTheGame.com. Enjoy.

9-Way AMD Shootout

If you're a hardware kinda person like me, then you may be interested to read Overlockers New Zealand's new 9-Way AMD DDR Motherboard Shootout. Wether your in the process of upgrading or have been thinking about it, this review should help you to decide which direction to go. Word:
From the results above, Nvidia's nF2 chipset provides 7~12% improvement under gaming condition (when GFX card is not the bottleneck) and 5~6% improvement under business tasks. Currently, Via has no retail chipset to compete with Nvidia's nF2. However, we've learnt that Via just announced its KT-400A with an improvement memory sub-system and is said to be on the same performance level as the nF2. For now, AMD DDR users can wait until the KT-400A hits the shelf or the users can grab any nF2 boards recommended below.
I personally own a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board and I just gotta say the nForce2 chipset just blows away all the VIA based boards I've owned to-date.

Slightly different line of scope, but I imagine there are plenty of gamers who also enjoy coding that may be interested to know that the folks at 3drealms have released the Duke Nuke'em 3D source under the GPL. In order to build/compile it, you'll either need OpenWatcom 1.0 or Watcom C++ 10.0 (or higher). Could be interesting to see if anybody does any porting of this time old classic.

Day of Defeat Retail Preview
- Posted 2:04 PM By Kagato
EMail News to a Friend  Printer Friendly Version    0 Comments | Add
GameSpy has a preview posted of everybody's second favorite Half-Life mod, Day of Defeat, which has a retail release headed to stores May 6th. Word:
After several years of success as a modification, Valve Software hired several members of the team in the summer of 2002 to work on the game internally, with other members continuing to work from locations around the globe. The retail version of Day of Defeat will contain nine brand-new maps, as well as revamped versions of 6 current DoD levels. According to Valve's Doug Lombardi and DoD player animator John Morello II, almost everything has been touched, especially in the art department. Other major additions for the retail version: a British team has been added for the Allies, and a particle system has been added to the current Half-Life code base.
Perhaps this may just be enough to drag some players away from BF1942 back into 'ye old Half-Life.

Activision and Valve Announce Partnership
- Posted 9:46 AM By WaRMaN
EMail News to a Friend  Printer Friendly Version    0 Comments | Add
Activision and Valve jointly announced a strategic partnership that grants Activision exclusive worldwide publishing rights to upcoming games created by the PC game developer. The "multi-title" agreement underscores Activision's commitment to partner with top development talent and will expand the company's PC portfolio.

Included under the terms of the agreement, Activision has acquired the publishing rights to Day of Defeat, a multiplayer game powered by Valve's Half-Life technology. Day of Defeat is scheduled for release this May.

"Valve has a proven track record of creating ground-breaking games with worldwide appeal," said Larry Goldberg, executive vice president of Activision Worldwide Studios. "We share with Valve the common goal of delivering the best games possible and with the upcoming launch of Day of Defeat we look forward to kicking-off a strong and successful partnership."

"Activision has been a pioneering games publisher since the days of the Atari 2600, and the company has never been more influential than it is today," said Gabe Newell, co-founder and managing director of Valve. "It's an honor to enter this new partnership and have the opportunity to take Day of Defeat, an ambitious product born of the MOD community, to gamers around the world in a great retail offering."

Playstation 2 Largest On-Line Console

Sony is reporting that they have sold over 500,000 network adapters for the Playstation 2 console, which is way above expectaions. 2,500 people join this ever-growing community daily. This is due to Sony catering to all network connections from dial-up to cable/dsl. The Playstation 2 has surpassed XBOX LIVE! because of this fact. In my opinion though, there is a reason why XBOX only caters to high bandwidth connections. Mainly, the mix of dial-up and cable/dsl is just an equation for lag. XBOX LIVE!'s lack of games available is starting to take it's toll. This year should introduce more titles for the XBOX LIVE! and make this race more interesting.

    UT2003 Demo DoS Fix

You may remember a short while back that there was a flaw in Epic Games's UT2003 (and not to mention an entire slur of other games) that would allow for some rather nasty DoS exploitations. Well, looks as if they've updated the Unreal Technology page with a fix for the nasty bug. Word:
All server admins running version 2206 demo servers should download this replacement IpDrv.dll (62KB) which addresses a denial-of-service attack. Demo clients should also apply the patch, as it is possible for malicious servers to cause clients to crash. Thanks to Auriemma Luigi at PivX for reminding me that the UT2003 demo had not been patched to address this issue. We'll have a Linux version in the next day or two.
I imagine this will make it into the next non-Beta relase. One less DoS attack is a good thing for those who prefer a faster Internet.

    Final Fantasy Origins Ships

While today's RPGs are definately miles ahead of what we used to play in the old days of Nintendo, in terms of interaction as well as graphics, many still yearn for the RPGs of days gone by. Well, fans of the old Final Fantasy line of games rejoice, as Square Enix is shipping Final Fantasy Origins in North America.
Square Enix has today announced the North American release of Final Fantasy Origins for the PlayStation, a compilation containing greatly enhanced versions of both Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II. The remastered editions of the games--which date back to the 1980s--feature new cinematic movies, new opening theme songs, updates of the original event sequences, enhanced graphics, improved sound quality, and new gameplay modes designed to make the games accessible to both beginners and RPG veterans alike.
While I think I sunk the most amount of time and got my greatest enjoyment out of FF3, a remake of 1 and 2 definately sounds fun, I just wish I had an old NES pad to play them on.

Sony to use "Shock and Awe"?
    - Posted 6:24 PM By WaRMaN

Shock and Awe is so much of a catch phrase that everyone is rushing to trademark the saying for use of their products. The biggest note of such action is Sony. They plan to use the phrase for a future video game, according to a filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office.

There are also other applicants who wish to profit from the phrase. They include fireworks, lingerie, baby toys, shampoo, consulting services and my favorite: pesticide!

Wireless Networking - New Choice In The Works

Nowadays, it seems like everybody's talking wireless. From 802.11a, 802.11b, and all the way to 802.11g, there's a variety of choices for consumers alike. Well, now it appears that Intel, Nokia, Proxim, and a bunch of other companies have branded together to launch WiMax. The a non-profit group was founded to certify and promote the upcoming IEEE 802.16 wireless networking standard. So what's so different about the 802.16 standard over its 802.11x brethren? How about "up to 31 miles of linear service area range and allows users connectivity without a direct line of sight to a base station" all at a jawdropping speed of 70Mbps. Definately a great step in the wireless direction. Where do I sign up?!

    PS2 Receives Hardware Upgrade

While this news doesn't really offer much to existing owners, but those who've held off buying a PS2 may be interested in knowing that the folks at Sony are going to be offering an updated model. So what are they going to be improving upon with this new model? "The new design will support most recordable DVD media, including DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW. The new PS2 will also support "progressive scan", a playback method used by some TV sets for clearer images, and it will come with a built-in infrared receiver for using a remote control to control DVD playback." The only bad thing is there is no current launch date listed for us folks in North America, only Japan. You definately can't beat a console/progressive scan DVD player in one package though, especially in the $200 range.

Doom 3. You've heard about. You've seen the screenshots. You know it's gonna pound your gaming rig into a smoldering pile of scrap. But how much longer are gamers going to have to wait until it's unholy powers are unleashed upon us, and what exactly do the programming wizards do all day? Well, Wired have posted the article from it's magazine online talking with some of the folks there, their feelings on the project, and more on the gaming goodness that is Doom 3.
These days, the employees at id need to play with pain. They're hard at work on Doom III, which is already a shoo-in for event of the year in the $10.8 billion videogame industry, even though it's not expected out until fall. In the dozens of times I've come here to research Masters of Doom, my book about John Carmack and his ex-partner, John Romero, I've never seen id's office as focused as it is now. There are no CDs whizzing into walls like Frisbees. No keyboards being hammered during Quake III marathons. No screams of the traditional shooter deathmatch taunt, "Suck it down!" Right now, the only things being sucked down are the brownies and coffee in the kitchen - a caffeine-sugar slammer to fortify the troops for yet another late night.
No word on exactly when we may see this in stores, but it sounds as if a new demo may be floating out soon,w00t!

Just when you thought Metroid Prime was the main reason to own a Nintendo Gamecube, there comes word that Mario Kart GC will offer 8-way play via the Nintendo LAN system. Woot:
Mario Kart GC is being kept under wraps until the E3 games show in May where Nintendo is said to unveil it. And not before time: Mario Kart GC is easily one of the most eagerly anticipated games for the 'Cube.

However, according to reports, just add another GameCube and copy of Mario Kart GC, and you'll be able to link the two together for 8-player Mario Kart shenanigans. This system works in a similar style to the PlayStation 2 I-Link, but you'll also need two TVs as well. The 8-Player works via two four-player split-screens...

    Upcoming Battlefield 1942 Patch
    - Posted 8:34 AM By Kagato
EMail News to a Friend  Printer Friendly Version    0 Comments | Add
Looks as if there's another patch in the pipeline for Battlefield 1942 according to this update over at the the official Battlefield 1942 site. The upcoming 1.4 patch looks largely like an update to prevent cheating and will also disable the ability for gamers to use client-side mods.
Fixes and Features in 1.4 include:

Tank Repair exploit - tanks will no longer be able to repair in the airplane hanger.
Improved voting GUI - the voting interface has been improved.
Cheats - we will be implementing features which address many of the cheats currently being seen in BF1942 games.
    Linux Server.
Two new guns being added: The DP 1928 - Japanese Assault rifle and the Type 99 - Russian Assault rifle.
I imagine the client-side mod kill will anger some gamers, but overall, it'll at least help provide a less Cheaterstrike type gaming environment.

Retail Release of Day of Defeat Golden

EMail News to a Friend  Printer Friendly Version    0 Comments | Add
Although there are arguably better games these days (in terms of newer graphics, gameplay, etc.) it's still good to see that the retail release of Day of Defeat, probably the second most popular Half-Life mod next to CounterStrike, has gone golden. The cool thing about this release is that you don't need the original Half-Life to play, it's all there for you in one package.
Gamers get ready to finalize war plans and ready the reinforcements as Valve's Day of Defeat has gone gold. The multiplayer action-packed WWII game pits players in Axis vs. Allies squad-based combat in Western Europe at the height of the war in 1944. Day of Defeat is powered by Valve's Half-Life technology and is the first title to be published by Activision, Inc. under its new strategic partnership with Valve. The title is scheduled for release this May.
It will be interesting to see the support for this, considering we've got titles like Battlefield 1942 along with the Desert Combat mod, and other era-based titles as well.

    Lowdown On Nvidia's nForce3 Chipset

With the release of AMD's new line of Opteron chips (i.e. 64bit), you knew it'd only be time before Nvidia would announce their support for it, that being in the release of their nForce3 chipset. The folks at Bjorn3D have ripped into the official nForce3 PDF releases to break it down and let you know what it all means to you.
With the nForce2 NVIDIA managed to create a kick-ass product for the desktop. It is only natural that they continue the fine tradition and create a chipset for the professional market. The nForce3 Pro promises a lot and if these promises are fulfilled NVIDIA has another winner on their hands.
Just as a sidenote, the nForce3 chipset does NOT include support for dual channel DDR memory like many are used to from the nForce2 chipset, at least at it's initial release. If you'd like to read up on the Opteron itself, the reviews are slowing coming in, you can follow the links below to get a bit more up-to-speed.

Raven Shield Expansion Already In The Works

Looks as if there's no rest for the weary at Ubi Soft, at least according to Computer & Video Games. Apparently the folks at Ubi Soft are working on an expansion for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield and are supposed to officially announced during E3 (i.e. this coming May, 2003).
Rather than using the somewhat lengthy Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield - Athena Sword, the expansion will apparently use the slightly shorter Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword moniker.

Anyway, Ubi Soft is keeping lips sealed at the moment, but we should hear more on Athena Sword at E3 in May. Surprisingly, the expansion could be with us sooner than later, July being the unconfirmed month of release that's being bounced around.
Almost makes you wonder if they had a seperate group working on content while the main title was being developed, I mean the game has only been out for about a month!

At long last, fans of Grey Matter Studios' Return to Castle Wolfenstein can now give a go at the new RTCW : Enemy Territory multiplayer demo. Weighing in at 103MB, the test includes only one level at this point.
This TEST consists of one multiplayer map and represents an unsupported version of the multiplayer mode of ET. The final release version of ET will include six multiplayer maps and a full campaign mode. This is a TEST and players may find compatibility and performance issues that will be addressed before the final release. The purpose of this test is to report these issues so that we can address them prior to the release of the game. Players should also understand that the system requirements listed below are very close to what we expect in the release version.
As far as I can tell, you don't need the original RTCW to play this one either. You can find alternate downloads at FilePlanet.

    Wolfenstein: Tides of War (XBOX)

Well the Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War demo for the Xbox is now available in the current edition of the Official Xbox Magazine. The demo includes two massive levels with 5 secrets to unfold, and what better way to find them than with a buddy. Yes, the demo includes cooperative split-screen play as well. The picture I posted gives you a little taste of the split screen madness.

I got a chance to sit down and play this demo, and I was very impressed! I cannot stand FPS controls on the Xbox controller, but found myself getting around quite easily with the smooth movements of RtCW. The graphics are nothing less than perfect. As you make your way down dark halls avoiding some gorry creatures, you will notice such details as spider webs, and lighting effects. The game plays so smooth and is only a glimpse of what's to come in the final product. Watch for this title to hit the shelves on June 6th, 2003.

Mircosoft Announces Next MMORPG - Mythica

In case you happened to miss GameSpy's exlusive review on Microsoft's upcoming Mythica, then you may want to read it again as Microsoft has officially announced the title, currently slated for a release sometime 2004, or so says the announcment:
REDMOND, Wash. - April 25, 2003 - Microsoft Game Studios today announced the in-house development of "Mythica," a revolutionary online PC game that uses new Private Realms Technology to merge the depth and sophistication of a single-player game with the social experience of a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). "Mythica" is scheduled to arrive on store shelves in 2004.

"Mythica" places gamers in the role of a fallen hero who has ascended to the afterlife as an immortal seeking to achieve godhood in the Norse realms. Utilizing innovative Private Realms Technology, players enjoy grand adventures, handcrafted for one-of-a-kind gaming experiences based on their actions, strategies and whims.

"When playing 'Mythica,' players will feel like genuine Norse heroes on a personalized journey unique to them," said Adam Waalkes, studio manager for role-playing games at Microsoft Corp. "Through 'Mythica,' Microsoft Game Studios will revitalize the massively multiplayer genre by putting the focus where it belongs: on gameplay."

In the quest to become the one true hero in a vast gaming world, players may adventure with a band of fellow immortals into huge, populated public spaces or enter a Private Realm. "Mythica's" Private Realms Technology envelopes players in story lines and environments that react to their actions in private areas of the world. Here players become the central characters in a heroic tale where actions have lasting consequences in their own persistent game world.

The Private Realms are spread across several traditional planes of existence from Norse mythology, from the grassy fields and eternal spring of Asgard to the fiery heart of Muspellheim. Using godlike powers, players can dispel droves of menacing monsters with a single blow or battle massive, monstrous beasts such as the Midgard Serpent.

"'Mythica' is a delicate balance between a massively multiplayer game with mechanics, depth and socialization expected by veteran online gamers, as well as the intimacy and self-determination of a single-player adventure," said Matt Wilson, executive producer. "In our game, players truly feel like they're center stage in their own adventure."
If anything, it'll be another title for other soon-to-be and upcoming MMORPGs to compete against and hopefully ensure some uniqueness between the various titles.

    Counter-Strike Xbox Information

The game that never seems to die, that being Counter-Strike, looks as if it's going to get another on the Xbox (dubbed CSX) according to word over at Ritualistic (info was originally publishe din Game Informer Magazine). Some of the new features of this release include:
  • CSX will offer all of the current CS material, the new Condition Zero content, and exclusive content including two weapons (Syringe and Machete), two solo missions, and at least five multiplayer maps.
  • CSX exclusive graphical enhancements include 24-bit texture quality, improved lighting and particle effects, and new color schemes.
  • Support for a widescreen aspect ratio and 480p progressive scan mode enhances the visuals and DD 5.1 provides an incredibly realistic soundscape.
  • Geometry of levels will be altered to account for the loss of precision that comes with the controller-interface; focus on horizontally-oriented action.
  • Hacks will be virtually eliminated from the closed gaming network that is Xbox Live; PKers and idlers will be automatically kicked from servers by Valve's anti-cheat software.
  • At least they are giving a graphics overhaul, which is much needed when compared to newer engines of todays newest batch of games. As a side-note, the NDA's for Half-Life 2 expire today, so expect to see ALOT of information and new screenshots to be making their way around the web today.

    BF1942 - Update On Patch 1.4
    - Posted 9:25 AM By Kagato

If you remember the last Community Update from EA, you may remember that they stated the next patch (1.4) for Battlefield 1942 would axe users ability for client-side mods. Well, according to their newest update it appears as if they got quite a bit of feedback on this and have come up with the following:
First and foremost, server side mods will not be killed with the 1.4 patch. This means that mods like Desert Combat will continue to function as they have in the past. Secondly, we’ve listened to all of the concerned players who don’t want to lose their favorite client side mods, like the merciless mod. To help make Battlefield 1942 a great experience for everyone, DICE and EA have come up with a solution that should work for all players. In the 1.4 patch, there will be a server side option regarding content checks. When this option is turned on by the server admin, players who are using client side mods will not be able to connect to the server. When this option is turned off, players can join the server with any of the client side mods that they have. We feel that this option provides support for both players that enjoy their client side mods (merciless mod), and those that want to ensure everyone in the game is playing with the same skins/crosshairs etc.
Definately works for me, and it'll be interesting to see how many servers run with and without this option once the patch is released. I imagine there may be quite a following for "pure" severs, for players wanting one more preventitive measure in place to prevent hacks.

    SNK To Re-Enter US Market

Console fans may remember the NeoGeo gaming system, released by the folks at SNK. Unfortunately, the system never really gained any footing here in the US and SNK eventually left the US market. Now it looks as if they are finally planning on a comeback in the US market, in the form of software/games, not hardware.
SNK NEOGEO USA Consumer has already been licensed by Nintendo to deliver Game Boy Advance games. PlayStation 2, PS one, GameCube and Xbox licensing deals are also being conjsidered. "Whether it's the current generation (of consoles) that we develop for, or its new platforms in 2004 or 2005, we are going to develop for them," said Herman. "We make games in Japan for PS2, and we plan to convert them—and make others—for play here in the states."

SNK is setting up shop at this year's E3 in the West Hall, booth # 3008 and will have playable (Japanese) versions of Metal Slug Advance and King of Fighters 2001. It will also be showing video footage of SNK vs Capcom. "We have not released any games in the U.S. since King of Fighters '99," explained Herman. "I've got a backlog of games from 2000, 2001 and 2002. Down the road we will have Samurai Showdown coming and a Metal Slug 3D game will also come out eventually."

SNK NEOGEO USA Consumer Corp. will stick to software exclusively, no hardware this time around.
What's amazing is the fact that they actually STILL develop games for the NeoGeo system in Japan, truly amazing considering the age of the system, then again, SNK did put out some amazing games for it as well.

    Star Wars Galaxies Beta Update
    - Posted 7:11 PM By Kagato

For those that weren't accepted (*cough* me *cough*) into the Beta-test of the upcoming Star Wars Galaxies you can still keep up-to-date on happening by reading through their forums. If you'd rather skip all that, be sure to catch their weekly discussions, like the new one posted today with the newest info on the stress testing and word that the NDA (i.e. gag order) should be lifted in the sometime, near future:
Since the main purpose of the event was to stress the servers, we only had the XP terminals online for a few hours. We gave some clues to help explorers locate them. Since we didn’t give free money as well and skills aren’t cheap from NPC trainers, there was booming business for players to teach skills to each other. Despite a couple crashes and a problem which made some of the free XP disappear, I think most people had fun with the scavenger hunt. There were frustrations but as I’ve repeated on multiple occasions, Beta is about testing the game not about having fun. In the end, we got a lot of great profiling data to help us optimize the servers more.
Released soon game will be. It buy you will. Uberness it will be.
