The Matrox Parhelia 512, the biggest disappointment of 2002 in my opinion. The card had tons of potential and stacked up really well against the Geforce 4 TI 4600 when anti-aliasing and anisotropic filter were cranked up. To bad for Matrox that ATI released the Radeon 9700 pro about a month later. One great thing did come from the Parhelia though, the underwater Reef Demo.

Hi, man
I loved your article about the Reef Demo (from Matrox). I like the idea to run this
(amazing!) demo on my computer, but I can´t do it anyway. I have a GeForce3 Ti
200 (@Quadro), Athlon XP 1600+@1900+ and 256 DDR running on KT266A.
What´s happen? Well, the textures are missing. Everything looks gray. Do you
know how can I solve that?
I wait your answer
Thanks a lot

I myself have not seen it run on a GeForce, personally owning a Radeon. But it is rocking on the Radeon chipsets...
#3 by Delerue on Thursday, Mar 20 at 12:37 AM I tried "force software T&L", but nothing changes. Still missing textures and everything looks gray, unfortunately. Someone can help me? Thanks
