Here's an interesting item by Intel, they call it the Application Accelerator and according to them it does the following:Faster Boot Time via Accelerated Operating System Load Time
Accelerated Disk I/O for Games, Graphics Applications, Disk Utilities, and Media Authoring Applications
Performance-enhancing Data Pre-fetcher for Intel® Pentium® 4 processor-based systems
Support for 137GB and larger hard drives One thing to note if you're going to install this, make sure your system is updated with the newest chipset drivers first. As another FYI (I just tried to install) - this also apparently on runs on machines with Intel 8xx chipsets (I've got BX which is 4xx).
