Microsoft's WMA Cracked

Ever thought of converting your entire collection of MP3s over to Microsoft's WMA format but didn't like the idea of not being able to play them due to the encryption? Well now's your chance! An anonymous coder by the name of "Beale Screamer" has written a nifty little DOS program which unprotects WMA files which have been encoded with version 2 of Microsoft's Digital Rights Management (DRM) scheme. You can read more about this gem right here and get the program, including source code, right here. Microsoft may have a hard time selling their encoder software to the big name music label guys with this. Can't blame them though, it's software, so it will get cracked eventually.
