Intel's Brookdale DDR to ship in November?

While it was originally expected to ship in Q1 2002, DigiTimes is reporting that Intel will be shipping the i845 Brookdale-D chipset in November. For those who don't know, this is the B-stepping of Intel's i845 chipset, which will be capable of supporting DDR-based memory. What this all boils down to is the fact that the new chipset should give a bit of boost to the lackluster performance of their P4. How much remains to be seen, but you can be sure when the boards start shipping, plenty of sites will be displaying the results.
