For those of you hoping to see AMD's upcoming Hammer line of processors, there's bad news on that front. According to the folks at C|Net News, AMD has announced a delay the desktop version by nearly a quarter (i.e. four months). AMD was originally slating the Hammer line to be on shelves first quarter 2003, the newly announced delay pushes those plans until second quarter 2003. One could hope that perhaps they're retooling the line for even better performance, guess we'll all have to wait a little bit longer to see what this new line will bring to the PC platform.
