Donkey Kong Announces "Microsoft ownz joo!"

Well, it's been speculated and rumored for awhile, and now appears to finally be happening!. What is it that I speak of? Microsoft's buy-out of Rare, the game designer behind such Nintendo favorites as Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Starfox. Word:CNN/Money has learned that Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft has purchased Rare Ltd., the development house behind such titles as Banjo-Kazooie, GoldenEye and the upcoming Star Fox Adventures. Nintendo previously held a 49 percent interest in Rare, but announced it had sold that ownership position Friday.
"We sold our position back to Rare and then they sold the entire company to Microsoft," said George Harrison, senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications for Nintendo of America. Great, there's a whole new line of games that we can expect to get the "Xbox only" branding.

Last I heard on this issue is that they were still in negotiations no what
franchises Micrsoft will actually get. Nintendo of course will keep all the things
they just liscensed to Rare for them to work on, ie. Donkey Kong, Star Fox, etc.
Thing is that Nintendo also has all the franchises they assisted Rare with, pretty
much everything Rare made, wrapped up in legal tape and these are what
Microsoft wants but are having problems getting. I would have to say at this
point to Microsoft.... "Nintendo ownz joo!!!!"

Ok, after the above post I checked out www.planetgamecube.com and they had
a new article on the exact subject I was posting about. Looks like Rare is getting
to take with them certain titles which include: Conker, Banjo and Kazooie, and
Perfect Dark. Read more here:
