Figures, I no more than pick up my new Pioneer DVD-R/RW drive and then happen to find this article over at C|Net News. If you happen to own a Pioneer DVR-A03, DVR-103, DVR-A04, DVR-104 computer drive or Pioneer DVR-7000 DVD and PRV-9000 Professional recorders, make sure you head over here for the firmware updates to resolve the overheating issues. Apparently the bug is due to the recent approval of the 4x DVD-R and 2x DVD-RW specifications by the DVD Forum.
