LAN Party Road trip

I hope it's not considered a shameless plug or anything, but there are some of us local folk planning on doing a roadtrip this March to attend the ExtremeLAN 2004 event in Oklahoma and was passing on the info for others who might want to attend. The main reason I post is that they're in dire need of more pre-register folks to secure the location for the event (Coca Cola convention center - allowing nearly 400 seating capacity). Considering they're confirmed for over $30,000 of swag to give away from supporters, even if you loose at every tourney, you're bound to still win something - heck, they've got a P4 3.2c processor they're giving away to one of the first 100 online registrants (the major prize is an entire P4 3.2 Extreme Edition system donated by Intel)

As far as travel, maybe if we get enough we could just rent a small bus or something

This is surely something we should look into guys.... Anyone else interested in doing this...

From the looks of it, it might not happen anyway according to the most recent update - there haven't been any new signups since January 2nd and they're still well below the number they need to get payment made for rental of the place. Short of a major change happening in the next day or two, I think this event is likely to be cancelled

ExtremeLAN is ON!

Well, after some brainstorming sessions and an unusual stroke of luck, we have managed to resolve the financial problems that have been such a burden. The venue is now taken care of and the dates are set. Special thanks to Kathy Singer at Brewer Entertainment for working with us to make this happen!

So, the games are on... LAN it up!

See you at the Coca-Cola Bricktown Events Center, March 18th-19th-20th!
