I've just bought Steelpad

I've just bought Steelpad 4d. Wow, i like it so much. Playing CS is absolutly awesome. Now i want to mod it. I wanna make a piture on it(Skull with a crossed knife and desert eagle). But i doesn't know how to do that without loosing gliding properties. Can you give me a tip about it?

Putting a picture on it would be virtually impossible without altering the surface... This would affect the motion on the pad itself...

Well, that's not entirely true Squirrel. He could rig up a holographic projector that has a fixed length projection or which creates some kind of "blue-screen" color match that only matches the exact color of the steelpad. That way, it would only project on the steelpad, and not on the mouse or hand as it moved across it. This solution would probably cost quite a bit of money and be a bitch to move around from LAN to LAN, but theoretically, it is possible as a solution.
