Who's down for some LAN beat down?

I'm adding Aaron and Andy to the group. As far as games go, I'm thinking about Call of Duty, Counter Strike Source and Half Life 2. Any thoughts from the peanut gallery would be good.

ALL participants are expected to have the games installed and tested before showing up. Let's try to avoid wasting hours and hours while peeps install games. And yes, I'm really encouraging everyone to have legitimate copies of the games we'll be playing. We kill far too much time while the "public" copy is passed around to the guys who show up with NOTHING installed. So, please just show up ready to play.

I'm down for HL2DM and CS: Source, sadly I don't own a copy of Call of Duty, but I'm down for UT2K4. I've actually been interested in trying some Unreal mods if anyone's interested, it's so hard to find active servers for most of them. Also, I'm almost done with my next custom map for HL2DM. A LAN would be a great chance to try it out if anyone's interested.

You don't need a cd to play Call of Duty in multiplayer mode. If you need a copy beforehand just shout out and I'm sure someone here will let you borrow their copy. Where do you live?

Unfortunately I am out of the PC gaming busines. I can no longer justify the money involved in keeping a PC in shape. I play all my games on XBOX LIVE and spend my extra cash on guitars and recording equipment. I am going to be a rock star soon, and only then will I be able to afford to keep up a PC. Until then, let me know if you need an ass kicking in HALO 2...

If you want to join us Warman I have an extra PC I can bring, it's nothing special, but has the minimum specs needed to play some games.

Now all I have to do is make sure that my machine has all of the software installed. I just installed Microsoft Windows XP Professional 64-bit Edition and I have to go ahead and reinstall all of my software. What fun.

I have to change my status to questionable. My ride died today, and it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to get a new car anytime soon. So unless I can arrange some new means of transportation I'm not going to be able to make it. Sorry.

I have read HL2: DM, UT2K4 and Call of Duty, but what other games are we going to play. I have a friend who is interested in know just in case he has a machine that works by then.

Just for the record, LOTR:BFME is a sweet RTS. We played it for nigh-on 9 hours at the 2-day Carnagge LAN a couple of weeks ago.

Very intense gameplay, with very nice graphics and controls. Getting to punch out hordes and hordes of orcs for no cost in an attempt to bum-rush on a non-castle map is pretty exhilirating.

Hey Mizzouri I think I may have actually left my headphones at your house. Did you by any chance see any silver headphones with black webbing on the top near or around your couch area downstairs? Pleas let me know if you, I'd appreciate it.

I'll look when I get home. But I don't remember seeing them when we did clean up that morning. However, I did find someone's copy of Never Winter Nights. Anyone want to lay claim to that?

Apologizes I wasn't able to make it, having no car really really sucks. Cabin fever is never a nice thing. Anyway, if anyone's interested in getting anoth one going soon, let me know. What I'd like to do is volunteer my place so my lack of transportation isn't an issue. I'm working on getting tables so there will be places to sit. Let me know.
