To me, Jowood games are like the old saying, "Jack of all trades master of none." They have alot of solid different games, but none of them are over the top.. Ths one does look interesting so I may have to try it out...

I've been keeping an eye on it here and there. Figured I would see more about it soon.

We've been talking about it a little bit. It hasn't had its own separate thread until now, though . Guess nobody is really sure just how bad-ass it really is.

I have seen some screen shots on line and in magazines, I can't figure out is it first person or third person?

Anyone have a definitive answer.

It is both, you can switch. The views are somewhat like uh... Operation Flashpoint.

The rockets can blow up anything. It's the coolest thing ever, you can put a hole in any building, anywhere.

Ahhhhh..... Operation Flashpoint.... Now there's an underappreciated game if there ever was one. Definitely one of the best co-op exeriences I ever had. I still vividly remember Rikus, Squirre1 and I playing this together a few times.

There was this one level where we would begin a little ways off from our target. From there we would run behind the cover of trees up to the edge of town. We'd then drop to a crawl and edge up under the trees to watch the patrol. Sometimes we would wait up to 5 min for the perfect opening in the patrol. When we saw it, we'd call out targets and open fire at the same, timed instant. All the enemies in sight dropped almost instantly and from there we would move forward to secure the town. It was great. The first game I ever played where you could jump in any vehicle you saw. Too bad hardly anyone played it.

If Soldner is like this, I'll definitely get it asap.

OMG... Those were the days man... The number of times we re-did that insertion to get it just right was crazy... But I remember exactly what you are talking about and that was great....

Soldner looks beautiful and there is no camping in this map...

Camping = Death by exploding house... haha

It does seem a lot like operation flashpoint, a little less realistic though, by that I mean crawling 5 kilometers to your target is probably not nessasary. And the physics are just amazing. Even in the beta, the vehicles seem a little more complete than the ones in flashpoint.

Oh, and the multiplayer looks like it's going to be AWESOME.
Way better than flashpoints.
All in all, it's going to be fucking sweet, no doubt about it.

Edit: Oh, and I'm pretty sure it's the only game you can TK your team by knocking trees over on them.

That just makes it more fun when you are running through the woods.

I wonder if the 50 cal has a thermal scope. It would be pretty sweet to put it through walls like in the movie "Navy Seals".

As far as I know in the rough beta I have played, it does not, you can turn invisible when you are prone with it though, until you take a shot or move.

Multiplayer demo was released today - up to 128 players - shnikes!
