Lan Events

How come there hasnt been any, like 2day long
lan evnets anymore just these lil half day things *sigh*

trust me when I say we feel your pain, but locations are few and far between and damn near impossible to come by... If we pick another location it will not be unless it can hold at least 120 people.... That is my goal...

yeah, whatever happend to the building you all was using last year, for the lans ?
that was a good sized place....
might i add i drive 400miles to these lans lol.... so i dont
bother going to the half day ones :P

Here we finally have a LAN Tournament scheduled for June 18, 19, and maybe the 20th and no one has commented on it. Lets see if we can get some forum input to see what people would like to see us have available at these new LAN's....

I want tournaments.

I can't emphisize this enough. Either tournaments or predefined teams would be great. The team thing we had going in Pat's basement was really great, it made the games somewhat organized and quite a blast.
It may also be a good idea to "secure" some copies of games that we plan on playing before the LAN. I get a little tired of Battlefield taking up every LAN.
We should try something new, like big RTS games, or wargames, or even sports games. (Nascar 2004 represent.)

Billy Graham had surgery and may be postponing his KC visit from the last word I seen on it....

That is correct. He fell down and broke his pelvic. ouch!! Anyway, the last thing I have heard is that the revival has been postponed until further notice.

hence, i'll be there. I may even take off the afternoon of the event from work just so that I can be there early... help set up and stuff.

I love UT, but I'm so picky about how it's played, I really don't enjoy onslaught that much, because that's not what I have practiced for 4 years.

If we do have a 4v4 tournament, (Or even better, a 1v1 tournament!) I assume it will be onslaught, but that's ok.

No. I don't think that you get to have Fatal1ty on your team. We all know who he is and how he plays so I don't think you get to say which team he plays on. Why don't you let him decide which team he is on?

Word of mouth is the best way to advertise, seriously guys, tell your friends. Even people who have never LANed before. If we can start getting events with 25+ participants again, that would be great.
