Well, this seems to be an old post, but it demands updating.

FEAR is a lot like Half-Life 2, in that the game is pretty obviously built for single play, yet is extremely fun online, if only for a small period of time. With the demo comes the proof that the game is much better as a single play. Game is scary as shit too. Doom 3 professed to be scary, but most of the times I jumped was more out of anger of having missed in the dark. FEAR is actually scary. If you've played Thief 3 and gotten to "The Cradle," you know how scary this game is.
