MWGL- Lite - Dumbest Idea Ever

Well, just wanted to let you know- what a waste of time- CS is the only reason 90% of people come to your LAN event... Also... a little less stealth on the fuck over please- please delete all Malice members from the registration list- when we signed up we were under the assumption that CS would be played... since we thought this was another fun LAN and you had no form of clarification expect hidden away on the information page- which most of us dont reading because we know directions to the event- Im sure the other clans that signed up were under the same mindset-

I'd just like to guess... attendence for the next event... 30-35

Thanks for destorying a once fun event with your old skool lameness, the oldies were never as fun as games now- that's why they're dead- lose the dogmatic gaming dome of yours please,

Marcus L. Leach

I would like to comment...

Then why did we only have about 9 or 10 teams in the last tourney which makes up LESS then half of the total attendees...

CS will be played... There is no doubt in that... We will just not be holding a CS tournament for cash...

If you want your team to come and lose to RCS or ATR that is fine you can do that... But for this event you will not have to pay $25 for your team to lose.

Malice has the option to Un-Register... If they would like to, that is there option. It is available if you log back into the registration page...

Thanks for the feedback...

9 teams, or 45-47 people ( a couple had 6 registered) out of a total of 117? 40% of the total LAN attendance participated in the CS tournament.

If you would like to have the opportunity to come and scrim on a LAN with other clans, you are most welcome. The reason for no tournament is to provide a little breather, both for our members, and for the "less competitive" players. We'll have servers available for you. Heck, if you want to, create your own tournament and run it.

Destroyed? I hardly agree. Rather a harsh viewpoint. As the name indicates, this is not a full event. A full event will be held 6 weeks after the LITE event, which will have the full tournaments available.

If you don't wish to attend a LITE event, that's okay. We don't expect everyone that attends our full event to come to the LITE (another reason it's LITE ). Just come back at the next event and it will be like nothing was different at all.

I really like this idea... I have a feeling there is going to be a lot more other games being played instead of stupid ol' counter strike.

Well, cs is the main game i play. i am coming along with 3 other First Love teammates so we can play together and get used to lan and teamwork before the cal season... :\ yes, i wish it was a full event every 6 weeks, as i will not come to every lite event if its only 40 peeps... but it still gives those the opportunity to scrim around on lan. remember, every little bit of scrimming helps.

There are OTHER games besides CS you know... just because its the main game you guys play, does not mean its the only one out there... Would you rather not have an event to go to at all? One of the main reasons for LITE event is to be able to have fun, and not have to worry about tourny's and such... just show up and play, and possibly get a chance to play something other than the usual Q3, UT, and CS.

Well, I know there are other games than cs, but cs happens to be my favorite. and i have fun at the big events. i like tourneys, they are fun. i dont worry about them. And, also, what if i really dont want to play something other than q3, ut, and cs?

Now, i dont know what i said to deserve these attacks, BUT, i like having an event to go to. im not sitting here and saying "mwgl sucks" because it doesnt. so. i would appreciate it if you retracted your claws a little bit there bud. and if you start yelling at everyone, do you think ppl will continue to come? all i was trying to do was make suggestions, and voice my opinion.

Posted by Anthos on 02-27-2003 04:48 PM:

Easy there, tiger. I don't think that was directed at you specifically. Some people are a little tired of the same old games. That's okay, though, because they have different tastes. Others, like you, enjoy the classics and see no real need to move on. That's okay, too. What we're trying to do here, is give the best of both worlds.

No, it was not aimed at any individual person. Just in general as Anthos said.

Then who was this aimed at. maybe not at me... but definately at all the people who play cs.
