Empire Earth

I don't know if anybody else has gotten it from Best Buy, but they have the beta you can buy, and get a $10 off coupon for the release which will reserve you a copy. Rikus Khan and I have played it online quite a few times, and it is pretty cool. Very long game. AI is very smart and strong (almost too much so).

The detail level is also very high. You can customize a civilization with your own specialty points to play your style. And then, in game, you can but individual upgrade points for units, buildings, and peasants. Without the manual, we still don't know what all the buildings do, but building a church or house or university within range of other buildings and peasants can make a difference on how they act.

The beta takes you from Renassaince to WW1, but the final game will take you from Stone Age to Nano-Age (the future).

If you have bought it and would like to play, e-mail me or Rikus. We usually play in USEast in Waterloo.

Hey I already told Rick but hadn't gotten to mention it to you yet, but I have the beta now too. Let me know when you guys want to get together and play.
