so who else has checked out this badass game? Shows you don't have to go MMORPG to get a decent RPG on PC's these days. I'm playing a Toreador, but still eagerly awaiting the patch to solve these evil performance issues, apparently there's a user submitted patch out there, might have to check that out.

All depends on your tastes. If you like classy RPG's full of action instead of xp pumping, then this is a great game. The story so far has been nice, and the graphics are amazing (what u expect, it's the Source engine). But beware, horrible performance issues exist, and an official patch has been mentioned, but hasn't been seen yet.

There is a ton of horrible performance issues built in similer to the FADE system for Operation Flashpoint that only activate if the game is detected as being pirated.
I know this because one of the programmers is a guy I hung out with at QuakeCon, who is on my AIM list.

Actually though, I don't have any work arounds, I beat the game with the glitches in and uninstalled it.

the OFFICIAL patch has been released, brings the game version up to 1.2 and fixes lots of bugs and other nasty performance issues. Roll on over to the Vampire Official Site for download links.
