If we are lucky each movie will have a pre/post version of his special effects job, as I would love to have the origional effects version on DVD as well as the redo. Kind of like how they do director's comments you know.

I'm confused on the release - if you read FOX's report, they have a quote stating that it will only contain the smoking piles of $hit they reshoved to the theaters - you know the ones with the out-of-place looking CGI effects that a 2 year old could draw better - yet the CNN just quotes them as saying that they're remastering them again - as if that has been done a thousand times already for the LaserDisc and VHS releases. Considering how bad the masters are, is it a good idea to keep using them - get a final digital copy made before they disintegrate. CNN's has no mention as to if both versions will be on the discs. Will have to see - if it's only the re-release like they put in theaters, I'll be keeping the money in my pocket and not Lucas's.

I dunno, but I heard that they were supposed to take out Greedo's shot; because, as we all know, Han didn't shoot first.

Yeah they need to put it back to Greedo never shooting. That was one of the things that gave Han character. Funny thing is, I had an similar incedent to this last night in SWG and didn't even make the connetion until now.

With the recent "Imperial Crackdown", Stormtroopers will now go into any cantina and harass players and scan for contraband. Well I was sitting in the cantina letting the last of my battle fatigue heal when some Imps came in and started doing just that. Well what should happen but they decide to walk up to me and try to initiate a scan on me. Now being a "Master Smuggler" I have a 95% chance of getting by the scan no matter how much contraband I am carrying (for the record I had 6 sliced guns, a sliced sword and knife, and some sliced armor). Because of the bonus for being a smuggler it was very unlikely that I would get caught.

However, since I was in a particularly evil mood at the time and since I had already scoped out most of the area for any overt Imps that might interfere I decided to take action. As they went about their little Imperial spiel I pulled out my gun and shot the first of the two troopers in the head which knocked him to the floor bleeding. From there I pulled out my Vibro Knife and went after the other one. Finished him off quickly and put one final shot into the first trooper. By this time, many people were calling for Overt Imperial players so I ran out of the Cantina, hopped on my Speeder and rocketed out of town. Finally, SWG felt like Star Wars

I play on Gorath server, usually in or around Coronet. Seriously, I played the game to this point because I loved Star Wars and enjoyed seeing the creatures and locals. The event describe above however was the first time I said "Holy Crap I'm in the Star Wars universe". It's what the game will be measured on from now on.
