LOL, that's funny. I do believe that the country is in need of new leadership. In saying that, I don't think Kerry is the right person for the job. But since he's the only other viable choice in the matter...
Come January of 2005, there will be someone other than a Bush sitting in the oval office.

What, and say "Yes", to more of helping the rich get richer at the expense of the poor and the elderly, funneling government contracts to companies our elected officials have a vested interest in seeing make money, the complete eradication of any and all wildlife preserves and National Parks so that Bush's oil company buddies can drill wherever they please, and spending hundreds of billions of dollars that don't exist for more government that we don't need?

Thanks, but I'll pass on that. I don't like some of Kerry's policies, either, but I see him as the lesser of two very nasty evils.

The old "rich getting richer" debate huh? I just beleive that you should be able to keep more of what you earn and not pass it on to the federal government for whatever programs they think are best for the country. Second, have government programs over the years eliminated or even dramatically decreased the amount of poor that exist in this country? This can be a very subjective debate because what is poor? I'm not throwin trash your way just stating my opinion sir.

The rich get richer is the way it is. Doesn't matter who sits in the seat. If you think about it, tax breaks for the rich makes since. The rich are the ones who sign the paychecks, if you don't give the rich tax breaks, they don't pass the savings on to you and me. The only way to promote is to lay off others, creating unemployment. This is a very quick and dirty explanation on why giving the rich a tax break is a good idea.

If you think we are wrong to be in IRAQ, or if it is a lost cause, then you have successfully been brainwashed by the liberal media. Please see Jane Fonda for your membership card...Next time you are in IRAQ, check out the power and running water - not to mention the schools.

Regans trickle down economics have proven to be crap. Letting the rich get richer does not help out anyone else. Of course I vote independant of the two major parties so I'm sure I'll be mocked for throwing my vote away, but at least I didn't vote for either of those two douchebags.

When I get a chance to make extra money and don't want to be taxed on it, I don't first off bank it. I usually tuck it away and spend it when I see something I like. Thats what rich people will do when you start taxing them even more. They will hide it away until they see something they like. Thats not based on Regan, Bush or any other Republican. That is just the way it is. Giving them a tax break gives them something they like so they spend it. They invest in companies (stocks), in homes (builders), and personal items (retail) which effects you in so many ways.

When it comest to being rich, count how many Democrats are on the Forbes richest men. They don't fool anyone claiming to be from the working class! Please, they are only out to keep themselves in power because it serves them.

I really don't have a thing for independents but, when they get to be liberal dem's that just want socialism thats where I draw the line. In a way the cold war is not over because it is spreading through socialism. Union of Soviet Socialist Republics if memory serves me correct. Now you have France (socialist) leading the way for the European Union. That my friends is something to watch out for....

Bush actually hasn't said he would do anything beyond the tax cuts that wiped out the first surplus this country had in two decades and sending troops into the Middle East.

His 'No Child Left Behind' program is a complete, and totally unfunded, joke that is forcing schools to teach things that will be covered on the standardized tests and nothing else. His economic policies have bred the outsourcing of an growing number of programming, manufacturing, and support center jobs to India and Asia. His energy policy relies his oil buddies on drilling in wilderness park areas looking for more oil for the SUVs that should have had to follow engine efficiency guidelines, but don't because the auto lobby spent enough money to make sure that didn't happen. Thank God Bush is worried about steroid use in professional sports, though!

BTW, I'm not a Dem or a Rep, nor do I consider myself a liberal or a conservative. I am a thinking taxpayer that is sick and tired of the same old crap being spewed from both major parties. However, I am also a realist and I understand that until there is some type of radical reform in our democratic process, there will only be two major parties. The whole problem with the radical reform in the process is that it would have to come from the very powers that are currently benefitting from the status quo. Face it, we're all screwed.

This should be blamed on the fact that most Americans overspend themselves into huge debt and expect to be payed twice as much as they are worth, while doing half the job. You have these people around you right now. If you want to get paid for honest work, you have to honestly work...

George Bush gave us (military) our 50% retirement back. Thats the one that Bill Clinton took away (reduced to 35%). Bush also raised our family seperation pay from $100 to $250 a month (this was BEFORE the war in IRAQ). I must say things have been way too good for me with a Republican in the big house. I will not bite the hand that feeds me
