Anyone played this? I downloaded the demo and it looks pretty good so far. I started to whip out some Close Combat the other but did a search for newer RTSs and found this. Seems to be an overall upgrade over CC. Rick and I are looking for some new(er) RTS games to play. Your $.02 would be valuable.

I'm sure several people saw this coming, but I absolutely LOVE the Age of Mythology series. I haven't played Blitzkrieg, though.

Age of Myth was sweet minus the norsmen... Mind you alot of people liked them, I did not like the change of gameplay with them...

Empire Earth and Empire Earth: Art of Conquest, is still the best series, in my opinion, if you want a long, robust, varied game playing experience.

Four of us played for over 7 1/2 hours on Saturday against 2 Computer opponents at hard. That was a blast.

I agree with kyle... The EE series is still on top in my opinion as well.. Age of mythology was pretty sweet until the norsemen came along...

I finally got my own copy of the Empire Earth Expansion. Got it from Recovery (cargo largo) for $5

Rick, Jimmy, and I grabbed copies of this and have been loving the heck out of it. It's really a nice break from most of the other RTS games that require you to build up an economy then build troops. Anyone who is familair with the Close Comabt series will be at home with this title. Definitely a lot more thought involved in figthing due to limited troops. Though, in this game, that does not mean small numbers of troops in the fight! Multiplayer is up to 16 players so anyone who is interested in big battles with Axis vs Allies squad combat should let us know.
