In the summer there will be a large lan party At the University of Virginia(10 miles away from Washington DC),
It had around 500 people last year, but expects twice as many this year. It is one of the biggest lan parties in the country, and acouple of the Z? crew are planning on going. Here is information from LAST year

Last year it was primarily tribes 2 tournys, but from my chats with some of the coordinators of the lan party they will be expanding it to a wide variety of tournaments.
The offical date for UVALAN4 has not been set yet, but will be in the same general time as the last one +/- 10-15 days. Chances are Z? will be getting a room with other friends on the east coast and we would have no problem accomidating more people, the price per night will be pretty cheap per person.
We will be driving there and we will havea truck to carry the equipment aswell as a car to carry the people.

It looks pretty appealing, but it's the small things on that such as only 10mbit lan, and also the fact that it would be cheaper for us to go to VA than to Kentucky or CA due to the fact that we will be getting free room and board at UVA lan. Plus there's a chance I'll be doing a confrence or two with a friend of mine about casemodding, which is nice.
