Wow, I thought there would be a little more input on what games we wanted to play. So........I'm going with my earlier vote and declaring this an RTS event. We'll probably have more than 8, which is a good thing as there should be different games being played, enough to satisfy everyone's desires.

Nooooo!!!! Not an RTS event I need a good dose of manual killing mixed in with tell others to kill. I would be up for the following:

Sacred
SW: Battlefront
Raven Shield
Splinter Cell 2 (always wanted to try this multi)
X-Wing Alliance (or dare I say one of the Freespace series games)

As for RTS preferences. I'm fine with either of the Stronghold games or maybe some Warcraft 3 or maybe going oldschool with Starcraft and Empire Earth

The main venue will be:

1) Age of Empires 2 with the expansion
2) Crusader (I just love them ninjas)
3) American Conquest


It shouldn't be a big deal with people playing RTS games other than the 3 listed. Experience has shown, however, that unless we agree to a small group of games to be played in advance then everyone will argue that day and there will be 4 different groups doing there own thing (remember LAN III at my house last August?). I know that not everyone wants this to be a 100% RTS day, but what you don't know is that the original 4 members have been talking about this ever since we all lived in Autumn Place Apts. Now that the opportunity has arisen to get this going on (Kyle in town) I'm not letting it slip away. Normal LAN games will continue with the November event. I appreciate everyone's input on this so far.

Bah, maybe I'll just wait for the next time Kyle comes down then. Already having to work kinda hard to get it off and too much RTS just bores me. It always gets down to just a couple people while the rest twiddle their thumbs waiting for the next game.

See, that was why I threw in the idea of having some UT2004 Deathball as a between RTS games sideline. That freakin mod is soooooo much fun. And, it would give the RTS losers (usually me) something to do while the RTS survivors battle it out in their game.
