Then who was this aimed at. maybe not at me... but definately at all the people who play cs.

FYI, you left out part of what I said ... I said:

There are OTHER games besides CS you know... just because its the main game you guys play, does not mean its the only one out there...

That's enough. He was merely pointing out one of the reasons for the LITE event. There was no personal attack. Everyone just calm down now.

*Note: I quoted this message because I will address it directly, but the post is directed at all the people complaining*

As mentioned earlier in the thread, the purpose of the Lite event is to give the members a slight break. We also are not sure how many members can regularly make events every six weeks and therefore may not have enough people to regularly hold "full" events so often. The Lite events were concieved so that YOU, the attendees, could come and play more often if you wanted to. Please remember that all MwGL members are VOLUNTEERS and get nothing for coming and working hard at the events, with the exception it seems of attendees throwing fits like children when we try something new.

Please keep in mind that it isn't always easy for people to get a weekend every six weeks off. For example, I work most of my hours on weekends and am only part time since I am a college student. I can't get by without the money so I have to make sure I have the vacation days to cover the loss of income. Vacation days come very slow if you are part-time. They are just enough for me to make one "full" event every 3 months. However if you guys would like to cover the pay I would miss by asking off to be at the entire event then I will be more than happy to run a cs tourney there (by the way I get payed $12 an hour and work 18 hours on the weekend, so you need to come up with $216 to cover me per event). I'm registered for the event on the off chance that I "might" make it for a little bit. This is just my case, I can't vouch for the other members, many of whom are also very busy.

That being said, let me reiterate that members get NOTHING for running the events. A couple events we have even gone into the red and members have chipped in out of their own pockets. Now that you know this hopefully you realized the Lite event wasn't an attempt at screwing anyone over, it was an idea to keep up the gaming on a regular basis so everyone could have fun.

Ok, a simple explination would have done nicely. not calling us childish or anything like that. didnt need to know why you quoted my post... SO. do we have any more childish insults coming from your side? or do we need to go on. Good, thought so. OK, i was just asking a simple question. everyone knows as well as me that the mwgl staff are voulenteers, so there really is no point in emphasizing that. i was just looking at the registered users, and it looked to me like there were plenty of mwgl peeps to run a full event. i understand that this may not be the case in the future, and i understand that.

Admittedly my last post got kinda jumbled together and the part that was in response to your quote along with the general response to everyone reading got blurred together. I had been up for quite a while when I posted it and was quite tired along with being upset at seeing people complain about new things we try. As I said I used your quote because I touched on it directly, which was when I talked about how we are not sure if there will be the proper amount of staff there to run a full event and wanted to make sure not to burn out staff too much. This is all I meant to be in reference to your post. Everything else was generally directed to everyone because it does seem like all we hear when we try something new, even when we think it is of benifit to everyone, is complaints. I for one question why I keep working at events and using my time to try and constantly satisfy people that it seems are never happy unless they are getting exactly what THEY want with no regard to the bigger picture or other people. You can take it as a "childish insult" to you if you want but it's really just trying to remind everyone of the facts. I'll try not to post when I'm so tired anymore so I can keep things seperated between responses to specific people and responses in general. In return please try not to take things so personally.
