According to this rumor over at Slow News Day (formerly known as Lum the Mad), Verant has been axing people in several departments, including EverQuest 2 development. They also go on to speculate that Brad "Aradune" McQuaid was let go, instead of him quitting. At this point, they are just rumors, but they claim to have someone at Verant passing on the information. It really wouldn't surprise me if it were true, those who continue to play the game have seen the population drop since the launch of Dark Age of Camelot.
