Definately some nice news for your Monday, according to Activision, Raven Software's Soldier of Fortune 2 has gone gold (i.e. it'll show up at your local software store soon). Those that've been playing the multiplayer beta will definately know that this'll be one hot title and (baring any MAJOR bugs) will probably be worth buying. Here's the word from the Activision folks:

In Soldier of Fortune II players once again assume the role of John Mullins, a military consultant working for the top-secret agency known as The Shop. To fully immerse players in the experience, Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix brings the grittiness of combat to the PC like never before with incredibly detailed skeletal animations that enable lifelike character movements and per pixel hit locations for ultra realism.
