Adion over at Adion has released version 0.13a of his QuakeStarter Next Generation. This application is said to support Quake, Quake II, and Quake III. This launcher can help you configure Quake with ease. Check out the features and fixes lined up for this release:
-Fixed a bug with the server browserThis looks like a nice little util to help with running your Quake games.
-You can choose uncompiled maps in the map browser and compile them before you start quake3
