Subject: Get Low with Lowrider on PS2

News:
At first glance this is a game that you take off the shelf, read the back, and then laugh really really hard. Wait! This game should be given a chance for being totally original and actually putting in some decent gameplay. The game is very simple to play and easy to follow. All you really need to know is button mapping and timing. Cruising down the street and entering hopping contests take up most of your time. Hopping gets you cash which allows you to cusomize your car with better hydraulics/batteries, and also custom paint jobs and detail all around the car.

The game is more the style of "Bust-A-Groove" and "PaRappa the Rapper," where button timing is crucial. The intro boasts a soundtrack by Lil John, but ingame music is cartoony at best. This game may satisfy you as a rental, because the gameplay does get repetitive and starts off pretty slow trying to get enough cash to compete and move on to the next level. If you decide to play it, make sure you give it a chance past the early levels, because you will be rewarded with a little more gameplay, and of course unlockable videos. The game is worth seeing and fun with multiplayer. If you want to see this game and other console games, come see it live tomorrow (and free for gamers) at the First Sunday Computer Expo (13420 Oak Street Lenexa, KS), and of course at our three-day event starting 18 Jun 04 - register now. Consoles on projectors - see you there!
